Steelers Vs. Colts, Halftime Score: Ben Roethlisberger Fumbles Give Indy Early Lead

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Indianapolis Colts were not expected to play a close game when the prognosticators looked at the schedule for this week's Sunday Night Football on NBC. Ben Roethlisberger has kept the home team in the game, however, as the Steelers' quarterback has fumbled twice, leading to 10 points for the Colts as they take a 13-10 lead into the locker room at halftime.

The Steelers led 10-0 after the first quarter after Roethlisberger was able to connect with Mike Wallace on a long bomb stemming from a play-action pass. That drive took just two plays, culminating in the 81-yard touchdown pass, but that was about the end of the good times for Roethlisberger in the first half.

The Steelers' signal caller coughed up two fumbles resulting in turnovers, allowing the Colts to score a field goal and touchdown off of Roethlisberger's mishaps. Robert Mathis and Dwight Freeney each picked up a forced fumble-sack combination in the second quarter, the latter resulting in a 47-yard fumble return for a touchdown from defensive lineman Jamaal Anderson.

Roethlisberger's first-half throwing line -- 14-of-20, 231 yards, a touchdown and an interception -- doesn't look too bad, but the fumbles hurt that stat line. Kerry Collins has completed an underwhelming 10 of his 20 passes for 78 yards, but his defense has put the Colts on top through the first half.
