Jeremy Maclin exited the Philadelphia Eagles loss to the New York Giants with a hamstring injury and initial reports suggested he could be in danger of missing the team's Week 4 game. There weren't many details available but it certainly didn't look good.
Jeremy Maclin’s Hamstring Injury Has Him Day To Day, Eagles Say
We’re still not sure what his status will be but Eagles head coach Andy Reid said at his Monday press conference that Maclin is day-to-day after initially thinking the injury was more serious.
For a team that may be without Michael Vick in Week 4, this is good news.
Maclin was leading the team at the receiver spot when he left with five receptions for 69 yards. This comes after he went for 171 yards and two touchdowns last week so he’s obviously a key component of the Eagles passing attack.
The Eagles will begin practice for their Week 4 game on Wednesday and we’ll learn more about Maclin’s injury as the week goes on. By Friday, they’ll need to list him as probable, questionable, doubtful or out. Without knowing many details, i would guess he’s on his way to a questionable status.
