Dallas Cowboys running back Felix Jones bounced back on Monday Night Football in a big way, finishing the game with 115 rushing yards and 40 receiving yards. Unfortunately, Jones also managed to aggravate his shoulder injury in the fourth quarter of the 18-16 Cowboys victory. Tashard Choice took some of the final snaps in place of Jones.
Felix Jones Injury Update: Cowboys RB Aggravates Shoulder Injury
Following the game, Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett did not provide an update on Jones, but thankfully Jerry Jones knows not to keep his mouth shut. Jerry spoke about the injury and seemed to basically say Felix will hopefully be able to work through the injury and more or less gut it out before the Cowboys bye week. Maybe I could take a shovel to Jerry’s shoulder and see if he can work through it.
As it stands Garrett will likely be asked about it during his Tuesday press conference. If not we’ll know a bit more on Wednesday once the practice participation reports start coming out. Jones will likely be limited to some extent, but we’ll know more later this week. Keep an eye out before making lineup decisions.
