The Baltimore Ravens have placed CB Domonique Foxworth on injured reserve, ending his 2011 NFL season. Foxworth tore his ACL last year in during training camp and hasn't quite recovered from the injury. Some thought he would be released before the 2011 season began but ultimately he stayed on the roster, and was active for the first two games of the season, before the Ravens decided to end his season.
Domonique Foxworth Heads To Injured Reserve, Ending 2011 Season With Ravens
The Ravens are expected to sign LB Prescott Burgess back to the 53-man roster with the open roster spot.
Foxworth was originally the Denver Broncos third round pick in the 2005 NFL draft. He was traded to the Atlanta Falcons for a seventh round pick prior to the 2008 season before becoming a free agent in 2009.
He signed a four-year contract with the Ravens in 2009 and spent one season with the team before tearing his ACL during training camp in 2010. That injury, and his recovery from it, has landed him on IR with the Ravens.
Foxworth is under contract for one more season with the Ravens.
