Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid announced Wednesday morning that Michael Vick would participate in practice on Wednesday. Additionally, prior to practice, Vick spoke briefly with the media and indicated he would definitely be playing on Sunday. While Vick is not yet 100%, the odds seem pretty high at this point that he'll be playing on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers.
Michael Vick Injury Update: ‘100 Percent Chance I’m Playing’
You'll want to keep an eye out for further updates, but given the 49ers secondary issues in weeks one and two, Vick would likely be a solid option come Sunday. The 49ers contained Andy Dalton, but prior to that the corner opposite Carlos Rogers had consistent trouble against his man. Throw in struggles at the free safety position and Vick could have a strong performance.
The Eagles will release their practice participation report later this afternoon so we’ll see if any changes pop up between now and then.
