Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak informed the press that Arian Foster was fine following a full day's practice and should be OK heading into Sunday and beyond. Foster's hamstring has caused him problems through the first three weeks of the season and resulted in his deactivation prior to Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints.
Arian Foster Injury Update: Texans RB Practices Wednesday, Likely Starter Sunday
Ben Tate started Sunday's game against the Saints and rushed 19 times for 82 yards, but appeared to briefly injure his ankle in the third quarter. On Monday, Coach Kubiak stated that he was OK, but there hasn't been any additional update since then. If he is slowed a bit, it makes the decision to get Foster back into the lineup all the easier.
Foster would have a favorable matchup this Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. While the Steelers are 2-1, their rush defense has struggled much of the season. The Colts and Ravens both ran wild on Pittsburgh, which bodes well for Foster's chances if he starts. We'll keep an eye on injury news the rest of the week, but Foster seems like a good bet to start on Sunday.
