Ryan Grant Injury Update: Training Staff Not Convinced He Will Play Sunday

Green Bay Packers running back took the lead rushing role in Sunday's victory over the Chicago Bears, but an injury may keep him on the sidelines for this Sunday's fantasy delight against the Denver Broncos. Grant suffered a bruised kidney last Sunday and now finds himself questionable at best. Kidney injuries apparently have certain required protocol, much like concussions, and Grant has to deal with that if he is going to play Sunday.

For now, Grant appears likely to sit out Wednesday and Thursday practices before giving it a go on Friday to see if he can play. Grant believes he can play, but the training staff is much less certain. We’ll have updates throughout the week, but it seems likely that you’ll have to sit Grant if you have him. If you have James Starks, he is looking like a pretty sweet start at home against a struggling Broncos team.
