Vincent Jackson, Malcom Floyd Injury Update: Both Receivers Miss Two Straight Days Of Practice

The San Diego Chargers completed their Thursday practice session and both Vincent Jackson and Malcom Floyd have missed both Wednesday and Thursday practices. While there is still a good chance they play on Sunday, they will likely join the flotilla of game-time decisions around the league. Arguably the most significant news surrounding this was Norv Turner's statement that neither likely could have practiced on Thursday even if it was essential that they do practice.

Although Floyd is less of a fantasy option at this point, Jackson remains a guy fantasy owners would like to start on a regular basis. The Chargers play in a 4:15pm ET game, which means you might be left guessing what his status will be just prior to 1:00pm. If you’re stuck in that situation, we’ll have to see if he practices tomorrow. If he is limited I’d suspect he plays. One strategy I try and use is if I have a questionable wide receiver (or running back) playing in a late afternoon game, I’ll try and move my weakest late player into my flex position so I at least have some measure of flexibility.
