Miami Dolphins running back Daniel Thomas had his hamstring injury flare up during Thursday's practice and it has now cost him Friday practice. Thomas missed week one due to the hamstring injury and it appears the injury has not gone away. Hamstring injuries can kill fantasy seasons as players go from a day-to-day problem to a week-to-week problem and you're left with repeated game-time decisions.
Daniel Thomas Injury Update: Hamstring Keeps Dolphins Running Back Out Of Friday Practice
The real problem here for fantasy owners is that Thomas is a late start at 4:15pm ET. If you have both Thomas and Reggie Bush it is not the end of the world per se, although Bush is not what I'd call a great fantasy option. Bush is an explosive back when complementing a work-horse back. He is not a work-horse back.
As it currently stands, I wouldn’t be surprised if Thomas sits on Sunday. It’s no guarantee that he won’t conduct his pre-game workout on Sunday and realize he’s fine. However, given the lack of practice today, I would not be surprised if the Dolphins decided to sit him to avoid season-long problem.
