Ryan Grant Injury News: Packers Rule Running Back Out Due To Kidney Bruise

The Green Bay Packers have officially ruled Ryan Grant out for Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos. He suffered a bruised kidney last week against the Bears, and while he finished the game, he has been held up in practice all week. James Starks will get the start in his place with Alex Green acting as his backup and John Kuhn getting a few more goal-line carries.

It’s a tough loss for Grant owners, but Starks owners could be in for a big day as the Packers host the Denver Broncos. The Packers should have their way with the Broncos, which could mean a big day for the running game. I would argue this is one of the best matchups on the day.

I suppose the Broncos could pull an upset if the can contain the Packers offense, but the odds are not really in favor of that. If you have Starks on your roster, he is likely a must start. He struggled a bit this past week against Chicago, but the differences between the Bears defense and the Broncos defense are fairly significant. This is not a decision to over-think.
