Man Found Dead In Texans DE Antonio Smith’s Pool
The body of Engram Lamar Crenshaw, 37, was discovered on Sunday morning in Houston Texan DE Antonio Smith’s pool Sunday, following a party at Smith’s ranch-style home.
Crenshaw wasn’t affiliated with the team but was a close friend of Smith’s.
Police and paramedics were called to Smith’s home about 9:30 a.m. and found a fully-clothed man at the bottom of the pool.
According to police, a preliminary examination of the body showed no signs of foul play, however they await autopsy results as well as toxicology test results, which will come back in three weeks.
According to police, about 100 people, including "4 or 5" Texans players, attended Smith's party Saturday night. No coaches or team officials were said to be present.
The team released a brief statement Sunday:
“We are aware of the situation. We are gathering facts and have no further comment at this time.”
