On Thursday, Sports Illustrated’s Richard Deitsch tweeted:

↵↵Been told former President George W. Bush will narrate a 2-minute opening for Fox NFL Sunday on Sept. 11 at 12PM.

↵↵I’m not going to venture within a hundred miles of the political implications at hand, and instead present this as evidence that the NFL is the locus of the closest thing to a national community that exists in America.
