Texans Vs. Ravens 2012: Jacoby Jones’ Muffed Punt Sets Up Baltimore Touchdown, 7-3 Lead

The Baltimore Ravens’ offense started their first drive with a little luck. They managed to keep possession of the ball after kick returner Lardarius Webb fumbled the ball after a 25-yard return. It wasn’t the only break they got with a return on the drive that resulted in a touchdown and a 7-3 Ravens’ lead.

Ray Rice and Joe Flacco ran into Houston’s defense. Ray Rice was stuffed on the first play. Flacco took a deep shot to Torrey Smith on the second play, but Jonathan Joseph had him covered.

On the punt, Texans return man Jacoby Jones fumbled the ball. Baltimore recovered at the 2-yard line, giving them excellent field position and keeping the drive alive. On third down, Flacco hit his third tight end, Chris Wilson on an easy play action throw into the end zone for the touchdown.
