The Baltimore Ravens got the ball back with just under six minutes left in the third quarter following a missed 50-yard field goal. Joe Flacco and company took over at their own 40-yard line, hoping for better results than their last two drives. They had it, until someone made the decision to try and run Ray Rice up the gut again and again, coming away with no points, hanging onto a narrow 17-13 lead.

On the first play, Flacco fired a quick pass for 16 yards to tight end Dennis Pitta. Brian Cushing batted down Flacco's pass intended for Anquan Boldin on the next play. Looking for some more power in their running game, they handed it to Ricky Williams for a five-yard gain.
And then Lee Evans - remember him? - showed up with a big 30-yard, one-handed catch that set up first-and-goal for the Ravens.
Then the Ravens curiously decided to use Ray Rice running up the middle on the first two plays inside the 10-yard line. He picked up five on first down and was stuffed on second down. On third down, his knee was on the turf before the ball crossed the goal line.
Baltimore tried again on fourth down ... with the same play. Houston’s defense stopped him, and Baltimore came away with nothing on a drive where they needed to get some points.
