The New Orleans Saints season ended in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs with a loss to the San Francisco 49ers and it appears they're losing their defensive coordinator as well. NFL Network's Jason La Canfora reports Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams is joining Jeff Fisher's staff with the St. Louis Rams. Williams' contract was expiring at the end of the season.
Gregg Williams Reportedly Leaving Saints, Joining Rams
The Saints are losing defensive coordinator Gregg Williams to the Rams. Williams is reportedly joining Jeff Fisher’s staff in St. Louis.

Fisher was hired by the Rams last week. After the 2010 season he was fired by the Tennessee Titans, where he and Williams briefly worked together early in Fisher's tenure.
Williams defenses are known for a heavy dose of blitzing in mostly 4-3 schemes. His defenses in New Orleans steadily improved ranking 7th in 2010 and 13th in 2011.
Williams has previously worked for the Buffalo Bills as head coach.
