Mike McCoy, Todd Bowles Get Second Interviews With Dolphins

Now that Jeff Fisher has agreed to terms with the St. Louis Rams, the Miami Dolphins are turning their attention to other head coaching candidates.

The Miami Herald's Armando Salguero is reporting that Chicago Bears special teams coach Dave Toub and Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer are out of the running.

That means the Dolphins have cut their list down to three coaches: Todd Bowles, Joe Philbin, and Mike McCoy.

According to Salguero, Philbin will interview again on Wednesday, McCoy will interview again Thursday and Bowles’ next interview remains TBD, though it may have happened Tuesday. Team owner Stephen Ross is currently in New York and all meetings are expected to take place there.

McCoy has been an assistant in the NFL since the 2000 season, originally being hired by John Fox and the Carolina Panthers. Philbin has been with the Green Bay Packers since 2003 and took over offensive coordinator duties in 2007. Bowles was the interim head coach for the Dolphins this past season after Tony Sparano was fired.
