2012 Super Bowl Schedule: Patriots, Giants Will Meet In Indianapolis

It’s official: we have a Super Bowl rematch.

The New England Patriots will be representing the AFC in the 2012 Super Bowl after beating the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship game, 23-20. Over in the NFC, the New York Giants beat the San Francisco 49ers which means we will have a rematch of the Super Bowl we saw four years ago between the Patriots and Giants (a game the Giants won with a late touchdown pass from Eli Manning).

The two teams will meet on Sunday, February 5 at the Lucas Oil Dome in Indianapolis, home of the Colts. It is the 46th Super Bowl. The game time is 6:30 p.m. (ET) and NBC will televise it. Here is all of SB Nation's 2012 Super Bowl coverage leading up to the game (including all the Super Bowl commercials).

The Patriots, the AFC's No. 1 seed, got here largely based on Tom Brady and the offense. The Pats offense is ranked third in points scored and second in yards and they're once again the strength of the team. The Patriots defense has struggled quite a bit this season but they've been good enough to get New England into the final game of the season.

For New York, their ride has been awfully similar to the one they made four years ago when they faced these same Patriots. They finished the season 9-7 and managed a playoff berth by beating the Cowboys in a win-and-you're-in game in Week 17. From there, they beat the Falcons, Packers and 49ers.
