Colts Will Interview 49ers Special Teams Coach

The Indianapolis Colts continue to cast a wide net in their attempt to replace Jim Caldwell at head coach. The latest name to pop up on their radar is San Francisco 49ers special teams coach Brad Seely, who is set to interview with organization on Wednesday.

Seely is one of several assistants off of teams recently dismissed from the playoffs that the Colts have shown interest in. Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano interviewed with the Colts on Tuesday, and New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael Jr. has also reportedly been contacted. Tennessee Titans defensive coordinator Jerry Gray has entered the discussion, as has Brad Childress and shamed former Ohio State head coach Jim Tressel.

Seely is considered one of the top special teams coaches in the country (Kyle Williams' two fumbles on Sunday notwithstanding). Prior to joining the 49ers last season he spent two years with the Cleveland Browns.
