Jack Del Rio Hired As Denver Broncos Defensive Coordinator
The Denver Broncos lost their defensive coordinator on Tuesday but had a replacement lined up by Friday. According to a report, the Broncos have hired former Jaguars head coach Jack Del Rio as their new DC.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Denver has hired former Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Jack Del Rio as its new offensive coordinator. Del Rio was fired by the Jaguars during the 2011 season with after the team had earned a 3-8 record. Jacksonville would finish the season going 5-11.
Del Rio has history as a defensive coach. A former NFL linebacker, Del Rio started his coaching career as a strength and conditioning coach for the New Orleans Saints before becoming the linebacker coach for the Baltimore Ravens in 1999. He served a season as the Carolina Panthers' defensive coordinator under head coach John Fox in 2002 before becoming Jacksonville's head coach in 2003. In nine years with the Jaguars, Del Rio earned a regular season record of 69-73 and a 1-2 record in playoff games.
