The Bears have fired general manager Jerry Angelo, who has been with the team since 2001. Head coach Lovie Smith will be back as the head coach in 2012.
Lovie Smith Won’t Be Fired; Bears Coach Will Be Back In 2012
Five straight losses immediately followed as the Bears failed to score more than 21 points in any of their final six games. It appears that General Manager Jerry Angelo is taking the brunt of the blame, as he was fired on Tuesday.

Angelo came to the Bears in 2001 and he’s the one that hired head coach Lovie Smith, who apparently wasn’t fired along with Angelo. The Bears won 10 or more games four times in Angelo’s career in Chicago.
The Bears GM job should be a coveted one. They’re a competitive team that has a defense built to win now and a quarterback in Cutler who is above average.
