Romeo Crennel was officially introduced as the new head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs. He led the team to a 2-1 record as interim head coach after replacing Todd Haley, who was fired in December.
Brian Daboll Likely To Be Named Chiefs’ Offensive Coordinator, According To Reports
The Dolphins’ offensive finished 20th in points and 22nd in yards last year, showing improvement as the year wore on. Not all of their problems were the result of faulty schemes, either, as the Dolphins ranked third in the NFL with 28 fumbles. The 2011 Chiefs, on the other hand, were tied for 21st in the NFL with just 17 fumbles.

“The three games had a lot to do with where we arrived at this decision,” general manager Scott Pioli said at Monday’s press conference. “Some of the things we saw was a great deal of accountability and consistency. There was also a different energy to the football team. A lot of it had to do with those last three games.”

The Chiefs can be considered a somewhat attractive job because of a lot of young talent currently on the team as well as plenty of cap space. On the negatives, their quarterback situation is shaky.

Crennel said that Pioli promised him a chance to interview for the job, which will come soon with the season now over.
The Chiefs haven’t been connected to any other head coaches at this point so Crennel certainly seems like the most likely candidate.
