The New York Jets re-defined the words melting down after they finished the regular season on the outside looking in of the 2012 NFL playoffs field. Unnamed players complained about Santonio Holmes. Rex Ryan said making Holmes a captain was the wrong move. Many players didn't talk to the media.

And then there was one other strange incident: Bart Scott gave the finger to a photographer in the locker room as the players were cleaning out their lockers, which of course immediately hit Twitter.

For that, Scott has been fined $10,000 by the team, according to the NY Daily News.

The fine amount is interesting because Ryan was fined $50,000 for giving the finger to fans during Super Bowl week in 2010 (and $75,000 for using expletives to fans in 2011).
