After 15 years in the NFL, Derrick Mason announced his retirement. He most recently played for the Houston Texans until being waived in December.
Derrick Mason Retiring As A Raven On Monday
Originally drafted by the (then) Houston Oilers in the fourth round of the 1997 NFL Draft, Mason spent the first eight years of his career with the Oilers/Titans before signing with the Ravens in free agency in 2005. Mason will hold a press conference on June 11 at 3 p.m. ET at the Under Armour Performance Center.
Mason ended his 14-year career with 934 receptions, 66 touchdowns and over 12,000 yards, and he retires as the Baltimore Ravens all-time leading receiver.
