Matt Forte expected to suit up for Bears vs. Cowboys

The Chicago Bears will reportedly have running back Matt Forte back in the lineup against the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night after Forte suffered a high ankle sprain in Week 2.

Chicago Bears' running back Matt Forte will make his return to the Chicago backfield on Monday night against the Dallas Cowboys, according to a report by Jay Glazer. The report says that Forte, who was previously considered a game-time decision, will be dressed and is expecting to play on Monday night.

Forte has not played since he was injured in the Bears' Week 2 loss against the Green Bay Packers. Forte suffered a high ankle sprain in the third quarter of that game against Green Bay and missed Chicago's Week 3 win over the St. Louis Rams.

Before suffering the injury, Forte had carried 23 times for 111 yards and a touchdown. The running back has also caught seven passes for 89 yards thus far in 2012.

The Bears and Cowboys, who are both 2-1 on the season, kick off at 8:30 p.m. ET from Cowboy Stadium. The Monday Night Football game can be seen on ESPN.
