New York Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie said in an interview on the Michael Kaye Show on Tuesday that he enjoyed being given the opportunity to play wide receiver on Monday night.
Antonio Cromartie enjoys his time at receiver
Antonio Cromartie enjoyed the opportunity to play wide receiver in Monday night’s game against the Houston Texans.

In August, Cromartie made the claim that he was the second-best receiver on the Jets roster behind only Santonio Holmes. With the team's wide receiver corps hampered by injury (including Holmes) Cromartie had the opportunity to take some snaps on offense against the Houston Texans. Although he didn't register a catch, Cromartie was open both times he was targeted including a deep pass that he caught, albeit out of bounds.
While he is unsure what the team’s future plans are for him on offense, Cromartie stated that he is willing to do anything the coaches need him to, via SportsRadioInterviews.com:
“I enjoyed it. Honestly I don’t know if it’s something that I will do some more of. That’s up to the coaching staff. I’m just there to be, if they need me I’m there and if not then I’m focused on playing my position and trying to make sure I’m the best I can be at that position.”
