Adrian Peterson suffered an sprained ankle early in the Vikings’ 30-7 win over the Titans last Sunday but says he’ll be ready for Week 6.

Jamie Squire - Getty ImagesPeterson suffered the ankle injury on his first rushing attempt last week, but played through it and finished with 20 carries and 103 rushing yards. Peterson said he “got it twisted up pretty bad” but didn’t experience much swelling and has made progress this week with rest.
When asked if he’d like to exact some revenge against Gomes this week, Peterson said “of course” and added he’ll make sure to keep his shoulders low to deliver a blow.

After rushing for just 35 yards in the first half, Peterson finished a bit stronger, ending his day with 88 yards on 17 carries. While Peterson believes he played better in the second half, he still seemed down about his overall effort.
