Mike Wallace has his fourth touchdown of the season, and what a dandy it was. Working without center Maurkice Pouncey, who left with a leg injury, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger connected with Wallace on an 82-yard touchdown pass.
Steelers vs. Titans: Mike Wallace’s 82-yard touchdown reception gives Pittsburgh the lead
Mike Wallace caught an 82-yard touchdown pass to put the Steelers on top.
That’s a pretty nice pass from Roethlisberger, and a really nice catch by Wallace, who gets the ball in stride and picks up about 35 more yards for the score. Officials reviewed the play to be sure that the ball did in fact cross the goal line. It did. Roethlisberger is 4-for-6 with 123 yards and the touchdown.
One play is all it took for the Steelers to score on that drive. Not a bad start to the game.
Pittsburgh leads 10-3, inching closer to their first road win of the season. The Steelers have points on both of their offensive drives so far, making harder and harder for the struggling Titans to come back for their second win of the season.
