Greg Jennings injury: Out vs. Pack in Week 6, a fantasy scratch

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings will be out in Week 6. We breakdown the fantasy implications.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings will be out in Week 6 when his team goes on the road to face the Houston Texans. Jennings has been dealing with a groin injury that he sustained in Week 1 versus the San Francisco 49ers. He's been back and forth, but missing the majority of the season so far.

Jennings has yet to break 100 yards on the season and only has one touchdown. The team has had a less than stellar start to the season and could be in danger of another loss this weekend against a formidable Texans team. Jennings is already a scratch, so once again, he won’t be able to help his team out in Week 6.

Fantasy Analysis: Jennings seemed like a fantastic option when owners drafted him, but at this point, they are dreading their wasted pick. He’s done nothing to help fantasy owners this season and he’s hardly tradable because of his nagging groin injury. He will continue to ride the bench in fantasy leagues until he can get healthy, but there is no set timetable.

If and when Jennings does return, he should be a solid start. He is the No. 1 veteran receiver in the Packers high-octane passing offense and a favorite target of All-Pro quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Fantasy owners should keep Jennings on the bench this weekend, but sit tight with the hopes that this injury soon passes.
