DeMarco Murray injury and Felix Jones’ presence puts his fantasy value in jeopardy

Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray did not start the second half of the team’s game on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens due to a foot injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Tim Heitman-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray did not start the second half of the team's game on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens due to a foot injury. Murray sprained his foot and was questionable to return. However, he did manage to get back in the game to test out the injury but was immediately taken out.

Murray rushed 14 times for 94 yards and caught one pass for four yards before exiting the game. He was replaced by Felix Jones, who scored a touchdown in the first half of the game. The Cowboys may ease Murray back into action given Jones' effectiveness.

Fantasy Impact: DeMarco Murray has largely been a disappointment for fantasy owners this season. This injury won’t help matters. He seemed like he was finally getting things turned around but now has an injury and Felix Jones to deal with.

Murray did return to the game, but the Cowboys appear to have shut him down for the day after testing him out.
