Kevin Kolb injury: John Skelton completes bad fantasy day for Cardinals QBs
Kevin Kolb left with a ribs injury during Sunday’s game between the Cardinals and the Bills. John Skelton finished the game out at quarterback, but went just 2-for-10 passing. We break down the fantasy implications.

Kolb underwent X-rays following the loss, according to Kent Somers of AZ Central Sports. There is no official word yet on Kolb’s status for next week and beyond as the team’s starting quarterback.
Fantasy Impact: While we’ll have to await word, the initial prognosis does not look good for Kolb. A shoulder injury obviously affects his ability to throw the ball. The injury is truly unfortunate, as the beleaguered quarterback had been playing well under center prior to Sunday’s game.
While Kolb was arguably a viable QB2, Skelton should probably be left on fantasy waivers for now, even if he is named the long-term starter. Skelton was dismal when thrust into action Sunday, and didn’t look great in his only start this season during the opener.
