William Powell powers Cardinals running game Sunday: Fantasy implications
William Powell had 13 carries for 70 yards during the Cardinals’ loss to the Bills on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Powell earned the start due to injuries to Beanie Wells and Ryan Williams. With Williams on injured reserve and Wells out at least another month with a toe injury, Powell figures to be the Cardinals' unquestioned starter out of the backfield for a while.
Fantasy Impact: The Cardinals have been searching for an effective starting running back all season, and they may have finally found one in their third stringer. The Bills may not be the stiffest defensive matchup for a running game, but Powell looked excellent, helping the Cardinals stay in the game while the passing game struggled.
The going won't be so easy next week against the Minnesota Vikings, making it hard to recommend Powell as anything more than a possible Flex option in standard leagues. He more than earned consideration as a waiver pickup this week, however.
