Adrian Peterson turns to receiving game to help fantasy owners

Adrian Peterson picked up an extra 50 yards through the air on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Adrian Peterson carried the ball 17 times for 79 yards against the Redskins. He found more value helping out in the passing game, catching seven passes for 50 yards.

The Vikings were in comeback mode throughout the second half, so Peterson helped out underneath when Christian Ponder needed him. His seven receptions were a huge boost for PPR leagues.

Fantasy Impact: It's disappointing to see Peterson fail to find the end zone yet again. Kyle Rudolph is still a top priority in scoring situations, and Michael Jenkins even managed to come down with a touchdown.

Expect his scoring drought to end soon. He faces the Cardinals next week, a team that gave up two rushing touchdowns to the Bills in Week 6.
