New York Jets running back Shonn Greene had a monster day against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 6. The Jets' lead tailback carried the ball 32 times for 161 yards and three touchdowns. Greene's enormous day on the ground helped Gang Green secure a critical win on Sunday.

As of today, there is a three-way tie for first in the AFC East division. Despite how bad it’s looked for the Jets, they are still very much challenging their division.

Fantasy Analysis: Shonn Greene simply went off in Week 6, but he had plenty of opportunities. With 30-plus carries, Greene had a bevy of chances to break through the Colts’ suspect run defense. He was also utilized in the red zone, pounding in multiple touchdowns on Sunday.

This kind of production is not the norm for Greene, nor is it likely to occur again soon. This was more of a freak occurrence, and Greene should still be considered no more than a flex option in most fantasy leagues. But perhaps this is not a fluke and it turns into Greene seeing more production. Fantasy football needs more productive running backs.
