LeSean McCoy gets held up versus Lions, a Week 6 fantasy disappointment

Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy was limited in Week 6. We breakdown the fantasy implications.

Charles LeClaire-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy was limited against the Detroit Lions in Week 6. On Sunday, the Eagles featured tailback only had 14 carries for 22 yards -- not even good enough for 2.0 yards per attempt. This was uncharacteristic of the Philadelphia scat back.

McCoy has been quite the shifty runner since he’s entered the league. Some of the Eagles’ best games come when McCoy is carrying the load for the team.

Fantasy Analysis: LeSean McCoy was a first round draft choice is essentially every fantasy draft. The Eagles have not used him to the best of his abilities this year. The injuries to the offensive line, trouble with ball security and lack of a true offensive identity has hurt McCoy’s value.

When McCoy gets his touches, he’s usually golden. He can turn a loss into a big play on any given down, and that makes him a threat. His vision, speed and agility makes him a game-breaking threat that demands a start each and every week. Continue to roll strong with McCoy, despite the rough outings like the one he saw in Week 6.
