Rashard Mendenhall might not miss time for fantasy owners with Achilles injury

Rashard Mendenhall looks like he has a good chance of playing in Week 7. We break down the fantasy implications.

Rashard Mendenhall made an early exit in Week 6 against the Titans with an Achilles injury, but it looks like he won’t miss much time, if any, going forward. Jason La Canfora reports that Mendenhall has a good shot of playing in Week 7.

He only ran for six yards on six carries this past Thursday before leaving the game. The news surrounding him now makes it seem like he will be ready to play this Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: Mendenhall’s owners have to be pleased with this news. After returning to action just two weeks ago, the Steelers No. 1 running back might be held back a bit going forward just as a precaution.

Pittsburgh will take on Cincinnati in Week 7, so Mendenhall should have a good chance to rack up yards against the Bengals dismal run defense.
