Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne has played nearly every game of his career with Peyton Manning, and both of those men are probably destined for the Hall of Fame, but in the meantime, Wayne can't stop gushing about rookie quarterback Andrew Luck. The rapport between Wayne and Luck has been organic and observable through the first six weeks of the 2012 season.
Reggie Wayne on Andrew Luck: ‘not your normal quarterback’
Indianapolis Colts star wide receiver says the team has something very special in its rookie quarterback.

Their relationship is already punctuated by a career-high 212-yard performance on 13 receptions for Wayne in an upset win over the Green Bay Packers in Week 5. Posting the highest single-game receiving yardage total in Colts history since 1957 doesn't happen with a normal rookie signal caller, and Wayne certainly understands that point.
Here’s what Wayne said during the Query and Schultz show on WNDE in Indianapolis about Luck’s performance so far in 2012:
“He’s not your normal rookie quarterback. I’ve heard people say it before, I think our offensive coordinator, Bruce Arians, has said that. He’s not your normal rookie quarterback. He does a great job of just taking everything in, not being pressured, not being forced to do something that he’s not in control of. He can do it. Hopefully we can keep him a little cleaner, and we will. That’s something that we’ve really focused on the last couple days. And he’ll take it in. ... He’s able to run a little bit so he can kind of get out of some troubles.”
The Colts have already managed to match their win total from 2011 this season – jumping out to a 2-3 record in 2012 after a dreadful 2-14 campaign – which actually helped them land Luck in the first place. Indy hosts one of this season's worst in the Cleveland Browns in Week 7.
