Green Bay Packers strong safety Charles Woodson will miss six weeks after breaking his collarbone against the St. Louis Rams this past Sunday, according to NFL reporter Jay Glazer. The 15th-year veteran recorded five tackles in the Packers' 30-20 win over the Rams.

Woodson has notched 28 tackles, 25 of them solo, through seven games this season. He has also forced a fumble, grabbed an interception, and defended five passes in his seventh year with Green Bay. The 36-year-old hasn't missed this much time since playing just six games in 2005, when he was a member of the Oakland Raiders.
The Packers got an important victory on Sunday, moving back over .500 at 4-3. The Packers have won two in a row and host the struggling Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 8. If Woodson misses six weeks, he won't return until Green Bay's game against the Detroit Lions on Dec. 9, missing important games with the New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings.
