AFC South injury report: Maurice Jones-Drew may have Lisfranc injury

The Jaguars lost both their quarterback and running back in Sunday’s game, but only one is expected to play this week.

The Jacksonville Jaguars lost both running back Maurice Jones-Drew and quarterback Blaine Gabbert to injuries during Week 7's game against the Oakland Raiders, according to the Florida Times-Union.

Both players underwent MRI exams on Monday. Jones-Drew, who injured his left foot on his first carry of the game, will not play this Sunday against the Green Bay Packers. Gabbert, who hurt his non-throwing shoulder, is expected to play against the Packers.

“There is a good chance he will be able to play this week,” Jaguars coach Mike Mularkey said of Gabbert to the Times-Union. “We will see how it is on Wednesday. Chad [Henne] will be prepared to go as he is every week. A lot of it will be up to Blaine to see how his shoulder feels.”

Mularkey wasn’t as positive on Jones-Drew, saying: “I can tell you he is out.”

NFL Network’s Andrew Siciliano tweeted it could be a Lisfranc injury that keeps Jones-Drew out for the season.

The Tennessee Titans lost linebacker Zac Diles during Week 7's game against the Bills. Diles hurt his ankle and was placed on the injured reserve Monday, ending his season.

Titans tackle Michael Roos underwent an appendectomy on Monday. He is considered doubtful for Week 8's game against the Indianapolis Colts as he recovers from the surgery.

Defensive end Cory Redding, nose tackle Martin Tevaseu and defensive tackle Fili Moala were all inactive for the Colts in Week 7's game against Cleveland. All are questionable for Sunday's game against the Titans.

The Houston Texans are on their bye this week, but nose tackle David Hunter and Quintin Demps are questionable for Week 9's game against the Bills. Hunter has a toe injury, while Demps broke his forearm in Week 4 and hasn't played since.
