Bart Scott hasn't missed a game in his last 119 contests, but that streak could be snapped Sunday as a hyperextended big toe continues to bother the linebacker for the New York Jets, according to an AP report on Yahoo! Sports on Thursday.
Bart Scott injury: Jets LB’s streak in jeopardy
A hyperextended big toe could end Jets linebacker Bart Scott’s 119-straight games played streak this Sunday.

After being on the field for only nine plays in last Sunday's loss to the New England Patriots, Scott missed practice for a second day with the Jets on Thursday. He injured a toe on his right foot in New York's 23-20 road win over the Miami Dolphins, who are also their opponents for this Sunday, back on Sept. 23 as Scott has since tried to play through the injury.
Described by Scott in the article as, among other ailments, turf toe, the injury has hampered his ability to effectively patrol open ground on the field.
“I’ve always prided myself on being able to have a high tolerance to play through things,” Scott said in the report. “I just want to show my teammates that I’m willing to bite down and continue to play and do what I can to help us win.
“If we have to shut it down, we shut it down. If not, then we’ll be ready to go.”
