Aaron Hernandez injury: Patriots TE did not travel overseas with team

Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was not present at the team’s practice on Friday and did not make the trip to London at all.

As the New England Patriots completed a walkthrough on Friday, tight end Aaron Hernandez was not present with the team, according to a report from NFL Network reporter Albert Breer via Twitter.

Breer also tweeted that “My understanding is that Aaron Hernandez did not make the trip to London,” and the NFL Network has since confirmed that Hernandez did not travel overseas with the team.

Hernandez was limited in practice Wednesday, as he continues to recover from an ankle injury suffered earlier in the season. According to Breer, the three-year tight end out of Florida “didn’t make the trip” to the team walkthrough, which took place in Hyde Park in London.

Other players nowhere to be found in New England's walkthrough, according to Breer, were safeties Patrick Chung and Steve Gregory.

Playing in four regular season games to this point, Hernandez has 17 catches for 143 yards and two touchdowns this season.

Behind Hernandez on New England's depth chart at tight end are Daniel Fells and Michael Hoomanawanui.
