The Pittsburgh Steelers are now without both starting safeties following a concussion to Ryan Clark.

Ryan Clark has left Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins with a concussion.

During a rushing attempt by Alfred Morris, Clark took a shot to the head and was examined on the sideline. After some time and evaluation the Steelers determined the safety had sustained a concussion, and would miss the remainder of the game.

Ryan Clark is one of Pittsburgh's best defenders, but the Steelers are in the driver's seat against the Redskins. They currently lead by a score of 27-9. However, without a presence in the center of the field, there is a concern that Robert Griffin III will be able to mount a comeback like he did against the New York Giants last week.

The Steelers are now missing both starting safeties, with Troy Polamalu being ruled out of Sunday's game prior to kickoff. They now turn to Ryan Mundy and Will Allen to cover the center and hold onto their 18-point lead.
