Ryan Tannehill injury: Dolphins QB has hyperextended knee and deep thigh bruise
Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill was injured on Sunday against the Jets, but suffered only a hyperextended knee and a deep thigh bruise.
Tannehill was hurt in the first quarter, when he was sacked by Jets linebacker Calvin Pace. Matt Moore stepped in for Tannehill and guided the team to a win, going 11-19 for 131 yards and a touchdown. Tannehill finished the game 2-5 for 18 yards.
Tannehill was a first round draft pick this past year out of Texas A&M, and has overcome questions about his readiness for the NFL with a surprisingly good rookie campaign thus far. Through six games, he has a line of 118-198 for 1,454 yards, four touchdowns and six interceptions. He also has a rushing touchdown to his credit.
