Falcons vs. Eagles 2012: Atlanta rolls once again

SB Nation’s Atlanta Falcons blog, The Falcoholic, reacts to Atlanta’s victory over the Eagles to remain undefeated

The Atlanta Falcons remained undefeated Sunday, improving to 7-0 on the season with their sound victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on the road, as the team continues to be flawless in terms of wins and losses.

Unlike the past two weeks, the Falcons didn’t struggle or need to be bailed out late in the game against inferior opponents, instead cruising by the talented, but struggling Eagles.

It was a total team effort for Atlanta, scoring 30 points in less than ideal weather conditions while preventing big plays against the Eagles on defense and holding them to just 17 points on the day. However, Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan starred once again, throwing for three touchdowns and completing 22 of 29 passes for 262 yards on the day.

Dave Choate of SB Nation’s Falcons blog, The Falcoholic, was impressed by the team’s overall effort and ability to dominate the game without Atlanta playing their best football.

The fact that they still aren’t playing as well as they could and they just took down the Eagles without all that much trouble should tell you something about how good this football team really is.

The Falcons will now head back home and prepare to take on the visiting Dallas Cowboys, who are coming off an emotional loss on Sunday.
