Turner is in his sixth season with San Diego and has a 52-35 record with the team. The Chargers have failed to make the postseason each of the last three years after finishing 13-3 in 2009.
San Diego jumped out to a 3-1 start this season, but fell out of first place in the AFC West with a 7-6 loss to the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. The defeat was the team's third straight, and each has been disappointing in their own way. The first loss of the streak came to the Denver Broncos when the Chargers let a large second-half lead slip away. San Diego was expected to win easily against the struggling Saints and Browns. It was the defense letting the team down against New Orleans, and the offense's failures taking center stage in Cleveland.
