Detroit is 3-4 and coming off a 28-24 win over the Seattle Seahawks, but have yet to win consecutive games this season. Against the 1-6 Jaguars on Sunday might be their best chance. Jacksonville has lost four straight and most experts believe that trend will continue.
SB Nation’s Joel Thorman picked the Lions to win 24-13 and notes they are better than their 3-4 record would have you believe. The computer predication model at OddsShark also likes the Lions. At Yahoo! Mike Silver and Les Carpenter picked Detroit, while Jason Cole went with the Jaguars. At CBS Sports six of seven experts (and their prediction machine) chose the Lions, with only Will Brinson picking Jacksonville.
That makes for 11 of 13 experts and computer models selecting Detroit, or 84.6 percent.
