NFL Odds Week 5: Packers vs. Colts

The over has been the winning bet in four of the last five games between the Colts and Packers.

Despite coming fresh off their bye week and facing a team that is just one win better than them in the standings, the Colts are still big underdogs against the Green Bay Packers in Week 5. After opening as 7 1/2-point underdogs, the line has since slimmed but not by much, as the Packers are 7-point favorites.

The Packers haven’t been very good against the spread as of late, though, particularly against the Colts, whom they are 2-5 against when factoring in the spread.

Perhaps the safer bet is the over, despite the 48 1/2 point over/under total being one of the highest of the Week 5 matchups. The Colts and the Packers have each hit the over in their first four games, making them a combined 8-0 in favor of the over.

In four of the last five matchups between the two teams, the total has gone in favor of the over as well.
