The New England Patriots may be getting tight end Aaron Hernandez back in time for their Week 5 game against the Denver Broncos, as the young pass-catcher was listed as questionable on the team's Friday injury report. Hernandez has not played since his injury during the Pats' Week 2 loss to the Cardinals.
Aaron Hernandez injury: Patriots TE questionable for Week 5
The Patriots Aaron Hernandez has a 50-50 shot to play on Sunday against the Broncos. The tight end has missed the last two games for New England.

Hernandez left that game against Arizona after sustaining a high-ankle sprain in the the first quarter. High-ankle sprains are difficult injuries to deal with, and recovery time is hard to pin down.
The third-year starter out of Florida has been an important part of the offense since arriving in New England. He broke out last season, catching 79 passes for 910 yards and seven touchdowns. Hernandez’s performance earned him a six-year, $54 million contract extension from the Patriots over the offseason.
New England uses a tight-end heavy scheme, and Hernandez is a major part of the team's offensive attack when paired with Rob Gronkowski.
