Bernard Scott injury: Bengals RB indicates he likely tore his ACL

Cincinnati running back Bernard Scott told his teammates that he thought he tore his ACL on a play in the first half of the Bengals’ loss to Miami.

Bengals running back Bernard Scott left in the first half of the Bengals' loss to the Dolphins, and after the game he told his teammates he thought he tore his ACL. Scott went down with a knee injury early on in Cincinnati, and he did not return after a productive start to the game. While the team has yet to officially release details on Scott, the running back indicated to his teammates that it was likely a serious ligament tear, according to Zac Jackson of Fox Sports Ohio. Scott left Paul Brown Stadium on crutches.

Scott rushed the ball five times for 40 yards and was one of the few productive players on the offensive side of the ball for the Bengals. He broke off a big 29-yard run that moved the Bengals into Miami territory on a drive that eventually ended with their second field goal of the day.

He entered the game dealing with an ankle injury, and Week 5 was the first real action he had seen all season -- one that could be over in the first week of October.
