Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery is expected to miss a few weeks after tests revealed that he suffered a fracture in his right hand during Sunday’s 41-3 win over Jacksonville.

After leaving Sunday’s game, Jeffery’s injury didn’t initially seem that serious, but subsequent tests revealed the fracture. There’s no set timetable for his return at this point, so it’s likely that the Bears will be without one of their top playmakers for a while.
The rookie out of South Carolina has played well for the Bears so far this season, catching 14 passes for 184 yards and two touchdowns. Only Brandon Marshall has been targeted more frequently by Cutler this season, but now receivers like Devin Hester and Earl Bennett, who hasn't played in two weeks, will need to shoulder a larger portion of the passing attack.
