The favoritism is thanks to the Seahawks (4-4) returning to the comfy confines of CenturyLink Field. Pete Carroll’s squad has covered the spread in its last six home games, and the Seahawks are 11-2 against the spread in the last 13 outings in Seattle. Meanwhile, the Vikings (5-3) are only 5-18 straight up in the past 23 road contests.
The total, which ranges from 38 to 39 depending on the betting service, has gone over in 12 of the Seahawks’ last 17 home games, according to OddsShark.com.
Seattle has not lost at home this year but is coming off a 28-24 defeat at the hands of the Detroit Lions. The Vikings got trampled by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 36-17 on Thursday in Minnesota.
